The Final Step to Save Our Wrongfully Imprisoned Brother
Close your eyes for a moment and imagine the plight of a young man, separated from his family and community, locked up with violent and dangerous convicts, without comfort or company for years, confined in a cold and bare cell, despairing and helpless against the whims of prison guards and a corrupt judicial system.
Imagine despite growing up without a father in a secular home, this young man had the courage to commit his life to Torah observance years before his false imprisonment. After spending four years in a yeshiva in Israel, and building himself as a true Ben Torah, he returned home and started preparing for marriage when he was accused and imprisoned for a crime that he did not commit.
The court case was filled with crude judicial misconduct, lacking any evidence of him even being at the vicinity of the crime scene. The only witness that was proven to be at the scene of the crime and admitted to lying to the police, was previously on trial twice for the same crime and was incentivized by the judge to shift the blame to regain their own freedom. As a result, this was recognized in the Court of Appeals as inappropriate, and our brother’s verdict was reversed after five long years of imprisonment, B’Chasdei Hashem!
Since the above mentioned took place the judge has been thrown off the case, and the DA is now serving time in jail for corruption. Those are the testimonies of the injustice that took place 5 years ago. Now, as we find ourselves in the final stretch of this journey to redemption, we implore you to help us raise additional $50,000 that are essential to win this battle and release of our brother.
As per Rabbinic advice, in efforts to preserve his privacy, we did not mention the young man's name. However, many Rabbonim who know him personally strongly endorsed him in this critical case.
As we approach the finish line, take advantage of this unique opportunity to partake in the greatest mitzvah of all - pidyon shvuyim.
